Erinakes Law was founded by attorney Megan Erinakes. She provides skilled and compassionate family law counsel to protect you and your family’s needs. Megan uses strategic planning to ensure you have a smooth transition into the next phase of your life.
In 2016, Megan Erinakes received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Letters with a concentration in Constitutional Studies, and her minor in Criminology. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of the Sooner Dance Company, a distinguished member of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity’s XI Chapter, a competitor on the University of Oklahoma Speech and Debate Team, and part of the Constitutional Studies Student Association. She won the Distinguished Scholar Award, the Sooner Heritage Scholarship, was on both the Dean’s and the President’s Honor Roll, was an Honors Scholar, and a member of the Honors College. She even participated in education abroad as a part of the Journey to Ireland Program. Since leaving the University of Oklahoma, Megan has become a Life Loyal Member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, and a part of the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association.
In 2019, Megan graduated from UNT Dallas College of Law and became licensed to practice law in Texas. During her law school years, Megan served as President of the Board of Advocates, Senior Staff Reporter on Law Review, Teaching Fellow and Research Assistant for the Legal Writing Program, was active with the Women in Law Student Association, and competed in six moot court competitions. She received many accolades, including the CALI Award for Family Law, Dean’s List, and the Judge Merrill Hartman Distinguished Service Award for her dedication to public service. She discovered her passion for family law as a member of the 2017 Dallas Women Lawyers Association’s Leadership Class as she worked beside her classmates to assist the Genesis Women’s Shelter’s Legal Department.
After law school, Megan began her family law practice as a member of the inaugural class of the Dallas Bar Association’s Entrepreneurs in Community Lawyering Program. The ECL Program is dedicated to helping new attorneys interested in servicing modest-means clientele develop their law firms and grow their practice. Megan has dedicated herself to serving low-income and modest-income families to help close the justice gap and provide affordable legal solutions. As a member of the Texas Pro Bono College, Megan has performed over 1,00 hours of pro bono services since starting her practice.
Megan is also active in the legal community as a member of the Texas Bar College, accumulating over 100 hours of continuing legal education since 2019. She has been trained in basic mediation, family law mediation, and collaborative law. She is a member of multiple bar associations, including the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the Dallas Women Lawyers Association, and the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association. Megan’s interest in the legal field was sparked eleven years ago when she joined her high school’s mock trial team. To this day, she continues to show her passion for the law and the people in her community.
